09/07/09 With one Rogue canyon trip done it looks to be a better year of fishing. Quite a few adult steelhead and jack salmon are showing up in the catch along with a good numbers of 1/2 pounders. I Am booked for the next 2 months accept for the days of October (6th 7th 8th and 9th) I will be open for day trips on the klamath river for salmon on those days. There are fresh salmon in the Grants pass area but you have to work hard for them and it's not easy with all of the moss in the river. The best fishing had right now is on the Umpqua river for small mouth bass. Catches of over 100 fish a day can be had right now with some larger fish in the 3-4 lb + range. Can you say fish taco's!!!  |
